I remember a year
A year of my own
Scruff on my chin

A year so bogus
I actually used that word
A time when the news
Was all that you heard

A time where the unlikely
Shone brighter than stars

There was a rescue
As unlikely as can be
After an attack and an
Arrest of our Embassy

A win so big
it shook the world
Impossible happened
So crazy I hurled

A boom, some smoke
Then everything went blank
My mind, the forest
An entire riverbank

A wave so hot
Hades wouldn’t ride
Hung 10 through the country
No place to hide

The White House turned gold
Built for Hollywood
An actor in the big chair
But the world understood

A time with Pac-Man
And Jabba froze Han
The Phillies finally win
But the world loses John

80 was a time
With many ups and downs
A volcano erupted
Smoke filled the town

A time for lives saved
A time for one lost
An acting crew mission
Before Reagan was boss

A time for heat
That wasn’t so nice
But the heat couldn’t
Melt this ice

A time for impossible
A save from a mess
A quote to sum it up
“Do you believe in Miracles? Yes”
